Why focus on glutes and lower body?

Because this is an often neglected element of aerial and pole training! Yes, our upper body strength is important — which is why it’s included in the program — BUT if we only focus on the upper body, we’re quite literally half-assing our training and limiting our progress!

The glutes are (ass)ential for executing moves that require hip extension and stability – think of skills like leg hangs and climbs. Strengthening these muscles will not only increase performance but also reduce the risk of injury AND enhance your assets 😘

Here’s how we make it happen 👇

3 Training Phases

  • Phase 1 De-load & Recover → Ease into training by preventing overtraining and minimizing injury risk (week 1)

  • Phase 2 Progressive Overload → Employ hypertrophy training and mobility principles to safely and effectively boost your baseline strength and flexibility (weeks 2-5)

  • Phase 3 Assessments → Evaluate progress to ensure alignment with your goals, making necessary adjustments for more optimal outcomes moving forward (week 6)

Who is this for?

This program is ideal for aerialists from beginner to advanced levels who:

✔ Want to enhance strength, mobility, and/or muscle mass in order to reach their pole and/or aesthetic goals.

✔ Have access to a gym or home gym equipment, including dumbbells and resistance bands.

✔ Ready for a structured, proven approach to progress, with an emphasis on glutes for either (or both) performance and aesthetics.

Who is this NOT for?

This program is not ideal for aerialists at any level who:

✗ Have no desire to progress in their pole/aerial skills and do not have specific training goals

✗ Are unwilling to train off the pole (using weights, bands, etc) or unable to gain access to a gym or gym equipment

✗ Just want a quick fix, don’t care about sustainable results, and/or are not ready to commit to a structured program.

Hi, I’m Mackenzie! A personal trainer, pole instructor, and professional dancer with extensive experience guiding aerialists to achieve their training goals through strength and flexibility training.

One of my specialties as a personal trainer is hypertrophy, particularly glute hypertrophy. With Pole Booty Bootcamp, I’m combining my pole and personal training knowledge to create a well rounded program for my fellow aerialists.

FAQs

  • There will be options for machines, free weights, resistance bands, and bodyweight exercises, however it is highly encouraged to utilize equipment. Some exercises will require access to at least a set of dumbbells and a resistance band.

  • If you’re someone who needs guidance and accountability, DIY isn’t going to be your best option. The DIY program gives you unlimited access to the program materials and sessions but there is no individual guidance on exactly how to structure your routine or exact sessions you should take. You can always reach out with technical question but other than that, you’re on your own, kid!

  • All exercises and sessions are uploaded to an on-demand section for you to access at any time as well as a written copy via a shared google drive for you to keep! There are options for both follow along sessions as well as individual exercises to use as reference.
